Optima wouldn't have the national reputation they do, nor would they be able to charge the price they do and continue to offer their warranties.. Concept is easy to grasp, here's another one - there's a good chance of an unsaid variable here. I remember someone on here having MULTIPLE optimas dying out on them. Statistically, if there were that many Optimas dying, Optima would have a class action lawsuit that would have shut them down years ago. These batteries that have died IMO have either been mistreated, used sold as new, charged normally instead of trickle charged, etc whatever. I have never heard or seen a Optima battery dying in person. Maybe NYC gets all the good ones? We are not talking about a little vendor on here that copies products, arguing about whether we should support them.. We're talking about a company that has millions of clients. Using the above example of failed Optimas with a single customer, and of my own experience and others in person, I would have to go with user error on this one.
